Billyjean obtained her degree in Interior & Design, specializing in Furniture Design in 2009, at Faydherbe Hogeschool in Mechelen. In the same year she started curating exhibitions, convinced of the design talent present in Belgium. This resulted in Ceci n.est pas une galerie, a concept for which Billyjean designed installations around the work of contemporary artists and designers, in unique locations. In these installations, a group of a maximum of 16 people could come and eat together, and thus taste art in a direct and immersive way.

At the request of her audience, Billyjean then started creating installations for weddings, but her passion for designing and experimenting made her return to her own practice after a few years.

Today she designs objects and scenographies for Rosewood, the gallery she runs together with her partner in Antwerp. In addition, she is madly in love with their own house, which she sees as a creative playground. It remains her passion to make this an inspiring place filled with own designs and collectibles from contemporary designers.
